Born in the wild suburbs of Metro Detroit. Victor was raised by a renegade single mother and artist. At the beginning of the COVID lockdown Victor received a fever dream message from His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu to find his joy and release the colors within himself. Since that dream he has been working diligently nights and weekends to share the colors and art flowing out from within himself. The world is still filled with open hearts, boundless joy, endless wonders of imagination and incredible auras of color which Victor captures and expresses through his artwork. He has exhibited at the Ukrainian American Archives & Museum in Hamtramck, Michigan, and Arts Illiana Gallery in Terre Haute, Indiana.
StatementI’m what you call a bonafide unfine artiste. I prefer to represent myself as a prismatic wizard and colour conjure man. Really, I ain’t nuthin’ but a backwoods paint slapper and joy maker who ain’t adverse to nippin’ at the jug. I draw my mojo from the dark alleyways, raucous rock, bumpin’ and pumpin’ techno, and soulful rhythms of Detroit. I'm of a particular bent for visually mashing up mythology, fantasy, graphic storytelling and world history in a big ole kettle of trippy hoodoo gumbo and then ladle out something new and unexpected. Hopefully my joyful artistic visions are somethin’ that excites your peepers and set your mind a reelin’ and storytellin’ as it did my heart and hands for crafting it.
