I am a local native of Lake Jackson, Texas residing here most of my life. I have always enjoyed creating beautiful things. Working with acrylics on canvas, walls, furniture, wood, glass, fabric  and altered clothing., Incorporating original designs to create unique one of a kind items. I have been a local professional commission artist for 30 years. I have painted murals in the Brazosport area in private homes and businesses including many daycares. My largest mural to date is located inside The Family Life Church, completed in 2014. This mural is 12 feet tall and 225 feet in length. The inspiration was our local petrochemical industry and focusing on the children. My original mural consists of giant gears, rockets and robots of all kinds including a robot choir singing Jesus Loves the Little Children, hand painted.
I also have had a lifelong passion for sewing. Taught by my grandmother then also attending Singer Sewing classes, and Home Making in school.
From 2005-2012 a member of the Dream Sowers of Family Life Church of Lake Jackson, Texas A Community Service group of experienced seamstresses with a desire to teach others and also using our skills sewing donation items for the needy and military personnel. For three years we taught children, ages 5-12, hand sewing at a daycare in Freeport, Texas. In 2008 our group traveled to Pegres Negres, Mexico on a mission trip. Our mission was to teach women how to sew using sewing machines. Despite our language barrier, It was a fulfilling, successful and rewarding week for everyone involved. We gifted the ladies with all the machines, materials and supplies upon departure. Leaving them with solid skills and the tools in which they could better their lives and the lives of their children.2017 through 2019 I was part of the Costume Dept for our Christmas Play, The Gronch, held at Family Life Church of LJ.
2006 – 2015 a member of TAODA, Texas Association of Original Doll Artists. Creating original Art Dolls, using air dry clay with a wire armature and at times creating with fabric. We participated in Gallery Shows in Houston, Galveston and The Brazosport Center for Arts and Sciences Art Gallery. In 2013 while living in Huntington Beach, CA, I became a member of the Orange County Doll Makers.
I am currently a member of the Bee Wild Fiber Arts Group of L.J. We explore all kinds of fiber art including stitching wall hangings, embroidery pieces and mixed media fiber art. To date we have held four shows at The Brazosport Center for Arts and Sciences Art Gallery along with TAODA.
In 2023 I was invited to become a member of The Crazy Quilters Bee of LJ. We also held a show at The Brazosport Center for Arts and Sciences Art Gallery in 2024.
I am also a member of the Brazosport Art League and will soon begin teaching Art Classes.
